Abstract

This paper attempts to analyze the changes in female subjectivity within processes called late modernity, according to the theories of Giddens and Bauman. Special attention is paid to the moment of deconstruction and reconstruction of the female identity visible in the novels of selected spanish  american  women writers, as well as to the place of new subjectivities in the current social order.
