Abstract
This article deals with a comment on Ibn Zaydūn's poem in which the ruins of Medina Azabara are used to reminisce upan the joyful days shared with Wallāda. Four analytic levels are defined in the criticism.
-Definition of the semantic units, through which the poet expresses three contrasts: night/day, past/present, love/oblivion.
-Defining rhetorical figures used as a mode of expression for this contrasts.
-Prosodic analisis.
-Defining the role played by the external factors of time and space within the poem.
