Abstract
The purpose of this work is to analyze how cultural identity in training processes for basic education in the Normal schools of Mexico has been slowly becoming displaced.
We start from analyzing the prevailing conditions for the establishment of educational training institutions, their importance for the identity and integration of the national culture, their evolutionary development from their creation in the national state up to the continuous criticisms, loss of importance and weakening in the global era.
