Abstract

The tourism in Colombia was until a few years ago an adventure and a risk during the period of war with the FARC (1966-2016). This internal conflict caused a territorial fragmentation, which didn´t allow the development in many zones of the country, leaving many of these zones intact due to it was only used for the guard of this guerrilla. After the peace agreement (2016) and due to its intact state, it appears many chances to take profit of these natural resources in a sustainable way. It is also an opportunity for the process of demobilization. The people that demobilize, when they leave their guns, are able to link up and return to the society through different channels. One of these channels is the labor inclusion. Nevertheless, this concrete area has been very complex since private companies tend to impose a barrier and restrain the entrance of these people inside their payrolls. Besides, there is also a rejection attitude from the own society. This investigation has the purpose to design a sustainable tourist development model based on the inclusive tourism that arises as an answer to the needs of the people that demobilizes from the FARC, as well as, the people that had to move out due to the violence. This model promotes the social integration and the economic revitalization of the territory.
