Abstract
In Colombia, the Victims and Land Restitution Law has involved a legal effort for the victims that has lost their material patrimony in rural lands due to the armed conflict. However, as some experiences at the international level have suggested, one of the obstacles of the implementation of this type of initiative is related to the socio-territorial reconfiguration provoked by return migration processes. By analyzing a case such as «El Carpintero», this article shows this type of situation is determined by land use, different forms of land transaction forms, and the variety of second occupants who settle in the territories after the processes of forced migration.
