Industrial heritage as a resource for sustainable tourism: The Basin Guadalfeo (Granada)

Abstract
The last third of the 20th century has relaunched a new conception of the heritage that includes the cultural and natural heritage. At the same time are settling new dimensions of a rising sector such as tourism, seeking reconciliation with the environmental paradigm. Except the artistic historical side, unquestionable element of tourism development, inherent territory aspects such as natural resources are made in the performance of tourism, even being long route to achieve the desired balance between activity and the environment. Other elements, fruit of the economy of the places have been subsumed later and with less force as dynamic tourism resource. A proposal for a face is exposed to retrieve the industrial heritage and activate it as reference of sustainable tourism in the Lecrin Valley and the Alpujarra, Guadalfeo basin.
