Abstract
Sights of towns (cityscapes), which constitute a very relevant dimension of daily landscapes, are not in general object of specific study or management in spatial or urban planning in Spain. The ratification of European Landscape Convention, which understands that the whole territory must be considered landscape, historical and identity values associated to these panoramic views, as well as some contents of current normative, make necessary to develop forms of approach which promote their knowledge and integration in planning processes. This article proposes a methodology to analysis these urban sights, taking as example of application the case of Vélez-Málaga.
