Abstract
The purpose of this study is to inquire from an analytical reconstruction of urban conflicts in the city of Buenos Aires in the period 2001-2011, the dynamics of confrontation and struggles between different models or visions of the city. To do this, public positions of the actors involved are surveyed, based on of journalistic sources, magazines, newsletters or documents produced by the actors involved, and political and social leaders, allowing us to grasp how in the context of urban conflicts confrontation takes place between alternative models and views on how the city should be, who should have access to it, how it should be produced and consumed, by what logic, etc. As a result of the work, the construction of a typology of models of city that serves as a heuristic tool for addressing urban social processes in a research process is proposed.
