Abstract

The mountain contains values of remarkable cultural depth in its meaning. They set out like expressive examples: 1st, the analogical character of determined contents of the same mountain and of the approach to its enclosure and its altitude; 2nd, the metaphoric sense of the volcano in the great European literature; 3th, the marked spiritual symbol of the ascent in our literature; and 4th, the intense religious interpretation of some mountains of Asia. The geographical interest can pay attention and go deep in these contents, although they are not formalized in the territory like components of the landscape’s sense. Therefore, if the geographic thought put like limit of its specific interest a previous point to these contents, the concept of landscape would be amputated.
