Abstract
The Natural Park of Despeñaperros is characterized by its small extension, the absence ofpopulation and the practical nonexistence of particular proprietors. In addition, it emphasizes tobe crossed by a highway. In the present work we described synthetically the elements that formthe territory and we paid special attention to the process that supposes the control of this by thepublic administration. Finally, the challenges and immediate perspective of the Park are reflectedon.
