Abstract
The government of Latin-American countries, specifically Mexico have been promotingthe restructure of the land tenure. In order to achieve this, institutions have been reformed andcreated so to encourage the market of land. These measures said the rulers will help to reducepoverty of peasants and promote new ways of generating incomes.This paper analysed the tend and expectations of the land market in rainfed lands dedicatedto the production of corn after eight years since the strongest measures had been taken tocreate the market of land in a peasant region in the state of Puebla.
