Abstract

The landscape, considered from the sistemic perspective, is conceived like a complex territorial system and all the formulas of approach to the same one, in spite of the differences that are observed among them, are based on the integrated analysis of their components.

The conducive techniques of integration to the obtaining of sistemic units of landscape and to the space boundary of the same ones, find an exceptional ally in the SIG. As much in the procedure of «superposition» as in the one of «cartographic combination» the use of the GIS represents an advance noun in the instrumentalizacion of the method.

In this paper we try to make specific the use of this tool of space analysis for each one of the phases that compose the methodologycal sequence of identification and cartography of «geosistemas or geocomplejos» and, for it, we will present/display its application to the flowing river basin of the Guadix river.
