Abstract

This investigation studies the figure and political thought of Éric Zemmour, who has been a candidate for the Presidency of the French Republic, in the elections of April 10, 2022. It is intended to demonstrate that the distinctive elements of the populist radical right are identifiable in the case of Éric Zemmour. For this, the theoretical conception of populism has been exposed and analyzed, in its European version, where his political project is inscribed in order to, later, identify in his speeches the most significant features of the conception of the populist radical right of this new actor. of French politics. It is concluded that the content of his speeches fits the logic of this ideological option.
