The influence of the age in the managerial leadership of the education cooperatives

Abstract
Educational cooperatives mean an alternative to state and private schools, composed by a group of teachers with the intention of investing, through the social economy, in the field of education. The objective of this research is to know the influence of the age in relation to the leadership of the teachers who occupy managerial positions in education cooperatives. The research method used is the descriptive and correlational one, with a quantitative analysis of the data, regarding the whole population of teachers that make up the education cooperatives in the Autonomous City of Ceuta. The data collection was gathered using a questionnaire. In this research, a description of the sex variables and those included in the managerial context has been carried out. In order to know the link among variables, we applied the Chi-square test and, in some cases, where it exists a connection, we applied Tau de Kendall and Spearman correlation, obtaining significant results about the age and the leadership performance with regard to the managers of these entities.
