Abstract
Faunal studies of various interventions carried out in the Polideportivo de Martos Archaeological Zone (ZAPM) are presented here. Although the record analyzed only affects a small part of the excavated area in the site, the results suggest that there are important differences among the areas either in the composition of livestock either regarding is as to the age of sacrifice of every species involved. These differences can only be partially explained by temporal differences or the ritual nature of some localized contexts, requiring being cautious in the interpretations that are usually made on archaeozoological records coming from limited excavations.
