Delfina Bunge en el Mediterráneo Oriental. Una escritora católica entre los pueblos del Islam

Abstract

This study focuses on the vision displayed by the writer Delfina Bunge around Islamic countries and peoples of the Middle East and the Maghreb. Our analysis is based on the testimonies published by the author in his book Tierras del Mar Azul (1928). The study of this travelogue features at the same time the social conditions of membership of the author, trying to generate an overview in the context of Orientalist discourse in Argentina around 1920.
