Abstract
This paper can be divided in different related parts. Firstly data about pastoral activities developed at Polideportivo de Martos are shown. Secondly data on animal remains distribution among different structural complex in the settlement sequence are presented, talking also about the similarities and differences that can be discovered in relation to other Late Prehistoric High Guadalquivir valley sites. Third, relations among these differences, especially temporary ones, and rituals determined in our site which imply animal burials and trophies are discussed. Finally an interpretation about ritual functions, depending on data from recent excavations, will be made, linking sacrifices with massive consume and showing a strong relation to the justification of animal and territory ownership and to the social differences exhibition/masking.
