Abstract
A critical examination is made of the evidence found to date of mining in the north-east and unpublished data are given regarding a recently discovered prehistoric mine (Mina de la Turquesa or Mina del Mas de les Moreres in Cornudella de Montsant, Tarragona province). A synthetic examination is also made of the body of evidence studied in recent years in the county of El Priorat in Tarragona province.
