Abstract
We present a study about the evolution that the knowledge of the archaeological site of Basti in Baza (Granada) has experimented, from the ancient Greco-Latin texts to the most recent archaeological works. This study gives us an idea of the importance of the archaeological site and of how further research is necessary in view of the role played by the archaeological site Cerro Cepero and its environment in the perception of the landscape and history of this people in the territory, from antiquity to the present.
