Abstract
The projects focused on Baecula’s Battle and on its environment have provided us fundamental information for the comprehension of how a traumatic episode influences the local dynamics’ transformations. In this work we analyze the evolution of Cástulo’s territory from his conformation up to his disarticulation, as a consequence of the Second Punic War. We analyze this process from different scales, but always from the perspective of the local factor. The relationship of the information proceeding from the political territory supraoppidum, the changes documented in the territorial sanctuaries and the regional dynamics help to complete the map of the transformation of the High Guadalquivir.
