Abstract

The Tower of Hercules is the oldest working lighthouse in the world. This monument has been the symbol of the city of A Coruña, Galicia, for centuries and it was declared UNESCO World Heritage Site on June 27th, 2009. The main goal of this project is the historical reconstruction of the Tower of Hercules and its surrounding area, portraying the history of the lighthouse and of the city of A Coruña. The project enables space and time navigation through a virtual model, with a view to web publication. In the same way an augmented reality application has been developed in order to show by a tangible interface.
