Abstract

In this paper we outline a cultural process related to the black glazed pottery found in Baza, Granada. By looking into its characteristics and the significance of these, we can understand the existence of imitation products in the South-East of the Iberian Peninsula and explain the reason for Attica importations of the small bowl with the in-curving rim (Lamb. 21/25 B), as well as the existence of indigenous products. We also suggest alternative chronology for the pieces corresponding to the aforementioned category.
