Abstract

In this article I discuss personal ornaments made from shell and hard osseous materials from animals dating from the Bell Beaker Period at the Padru Jossu hypogeum in Sanluri (Sardinia, Italy) and currently held in the Museo Civico Archeologico Villa Abbas of Sardara. A complete study of these ornaments has been carried out (mor- phological, technological and functional) to understand the manufacture processes involved in their production, their function, their social meaning and role, as well as their provenance.
