Author Guidelines

Manuscript Requirements (All Sections)

Originality and Publication Ethics:
The journal only accepts original and unpublished manuscripts. Previously published works, in whole or in part, as well as those submitted simultaneously to other journals or publishers—regardless of the language in which they were written—will not be accepted. During the submission process, all authors must accept the authorship and originality declaration, confirm the absence of conflicts of interest, and agree to the copyright statement. If plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or any practice contrary to publication ethics is detected, the manuscript will be rejected at any stage of the editorial process.

Submission and Registration on the Platform:
Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the journal’s online submission platform. Authors accessing for the first time must register, while those who already have an account may log in using their credentials. If the password has been forgotten, it can be recovered through the corresponding option on the platform. If the username has been forgotten, the author must contact the journal’s editorial office.

Languages:
The journal publishes works in Spanish and English.

Authorship:
Authors must clearly specify the order of authorship and the individual contribution of each author to the published work. Additionally, all authors must provide their full name, gender, institutional affiliation (without acronyms), country, email address (preferably institutional or professional), and ORCID identifier. A biographical note of up to 120 words must also be included in a single paragraph, indicating academic qualifications, current position, and main research lines or areas of specialization.
It is the responsibility of the corresponding author to ensure that this information is accurately completed for all co-authors on the submission platform. The recommended number of authors per manuscript should not exceed six.

Anonymization:
Manuscripts must be submitted fully anonymized to ensure the double-blind peer review process. They must not include names, affiliations, or any references that could reveal the authors’ identity. Any identifying mention in acknowledgments, projects, funding sources, institutions, or specific locations must be replaced with the term “anonymized.”
Personal data must also be removed from the file’s metadata before submission. For example, in Microsoft Word, this can be done by going to File > Info > Inspect Document and removing all document properties. In other word processors, it is recommended to review the document properties before submission.
Author names and details must be indicated only in the submission form on the platform. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in the manuscript being returned for correction before the editorial process begins.

Manuscript Requirements:
Manuscripts submitted to the journal must comply with the following standards for consideration:

  • Format: Files must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) or Open Document Format (.odt).

  • Style and Structure: Use Arial font — 12-point size for the title, and 11-point for the text. Line spacing should be 1.5, and paragraph indentation should be 1 cm at the beginning of each paragraph.

  • Text Organization: Section titles should be in bold and uppercase. Subsections should appear in italics and be numbered using Arabic numerals (1., 1.1, 2., 2.1, etc.). Lower levels of headings should be kept to a minimum and, if necessary, numbered with letters (a), b), c), etc.).

  • Highlighting and Acronyms: The use of quotation marks or italics to emphasize words or expressions should be limited to strictly necessary cases. Bold or underlined text should be avoided. Acronyms should be written without periods, and their meaning should be provided only the first time they appear in the text. Thereafter, only the acronym should be used.

  • Figures, Tables, Charts, and Illustrations: These must be submitted in an editable format, placed within the text in their corresponding location, and attached as a supplementary file. Authors must ensure that these materials are either their own creation or licensed for use, specifying the conditions of reuse. In the case of copyrighted material, the corresponding permission for reproduction must be attached.

  • Explanatory Notes: The use of explanatory notes is not permitted, either as footnotes or as endnotes. All explanatory, conceptual, or clarifying aspects must be appropriately and coherently integrated into the main body of the text.

  • Citation and Reference Standards: Citations, bibliographic references, figures, tables, charts, and illustrations must conform to the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th Edition guidelines. All in-text citations must correspond to a reference in the final bibliography, arranged alphabetically by the surname of the first author and presented with a hanging indent. Only sources cited in the manuscript should be included in the bibliography; additional references for expansion or deepening will not be accepted. DOIs must be correctly linked.

Funding:
If the study was funded by an organization or project, the funding entity and project code must be indicated in the metadata. To maintain anonymity during peer review, this information should not appear in the submitted manuscript, but will be included in the final version upon acceptance.

Acknowledgments:
If included, acknowledgments should appear in a separate paragraph at the end of the manuscript, after the references and, where applicable, endnotes. Only significant contributions to the study that do not warrant co-authorship should be mentioned. Authors are responsible for ensuring that consent has been obtained from anyone named.

Gender Perspective and Inclusive Language:
All manuscripts should incorporate a gender and diversity perspective in their approaches, analyses, and conclusions, ensuring that research reflects a commitment to equity and inclusive representation. Likewise, all texts must use inclusive language, avoiding the generic masculine and adopting formulations that clearly and respectfully reflect gender diversity. Authors are encouraged to consult the “Guide for Non-Sexist Language Use” published by the University of Granada (2023).

Cover Letter:
All manuscripts must be accompanied by a cover letter, signed by all authors and uploaded as a supplementary document through the journal’s online submission platform. CARTA DE PRESENTACIÓN
