Un análisis de los conceptos umbral en el Grado en Educación Infantil desde la perspectiva del formador en la universidad a distancia

Resumen

Un concepto umbral constituye un núcleo conceptual que, una vez comprendido, abre una nueva y previamente inaccesible forma de pensar sobre una disciplina, de tal modo que permite al estudiante progresar en su aprendizaje y transformar su visión del campo de estudio. Este estudio analiza la percepción de los conceptos umbral en la formación inicial de maestros de Educación Infantil, poniendo el foco en el profesorado tutor de la universidad a distancia, por su papel de intermediación entre el contexto profesional y académico y su contacto directo con el estudiante. Mediante un enfoque cualitativo y teoría fundamentada constructivista, se recogieron datos de 49 tutores a través de cuestionarios abiertos y un grupo de discusión. El análisis reveló cinco conceptos umbral: infancia, cuidados, organización escolar, criterio didáctico y criterio pedagógico. Estos saberes implican transformaciones profundas, aunque su adquisición no siempre ocurre mientras se cursa el Grado en Educación Infantil. Se destaca la necesidad de acompañar estos procesos liminales y se reflexiona críticamente sobre los marcos que validan el conocimiento docente.
