personas que nacen biológicamente con rasgos tanto del sexo masculino como del femenino.
Además de estas cuatro deniciones, existen otras orientaciones sexuales menos conocidas
como la pansexualidad, la demisexualidad o la asexualidad, que se están incluyendo en un
nuevo término llamado Queer (Torres, 2016).
Con este nuevo concepto se quiere aproximar más a la diversidad sexual y a la identidad
de género, y así se puede aplicar para referirse a, no solo personas homosexuales, sino a
personas que no se consideran heterosexuales (Arcoíris-lgtbi, 2016).
Del término LGTBI, aparece el concepto de LGTBIfobia, que reemplaza al termino homofobia,
y es el rechazo, miedo, prejuicio o discriminación hacia personas del colectivo LGTBI. Muchos
son los estudios realizados sobre este tema, donde en la gran mayoría aparecen prejuicios y
actitudes negativas hacia este colectivo y que tienen que ver con factores tan importantes
como el género, la religiosidad, la orientación sexual o conocer personas del colectivo LGTBI
(Acuña-Ruiz y Vargas, 2006; Alemán-Calvache, 2018; García-Barba, Castro-Calvo, Salmerón-

Otros dos conceptos importantes son el de actitud y prejuicio. El primero según Eagly y
Chaiken (1993), es una postura psicológica, la cual se expresa por medio de la evaluación
de una identidad denida con cierto grado de desfavorabilidad o favorabilidad. El segundo
concepto, el de prejuicio, comenta Devine (1995) citado por Morales (2003) es una cuestión
que repercute a todo el mundo, ya que podríamos llegar a ser algún día víctimas o culpables.
Del Olmo (2005) la dene como:
Una actitud suspicaz y hostil hacia una persona que pertenece a un grupo, por el simple
hecho de pertenecer ha dicho grupo, y a la que, a partir de esa pertenencia, se le
presumen las mismas cualidades negativas que se adscriben a todo el grupo. (p. 7)
No existen muchos estudios que relacionen a las Fuerzas Armadas con el colectivo LGTBI, por
ejemplo el estudio de Alemán-Calvache (2018), habla de toda vida de un hombre homosexual
de Melilla, de 66 años, que tuvo una mala experiencia en la vida militar, con tan solo 20 años.
Sí que hay bastantes titulares de prensa en los que aparecen casos de LGTBIfobia en estos
cuerpos y por eso es interesante realizar un estudio sobre LGTBIfobia dentro de las Fuerzas
Armadas y comparar luego a estos cuerpos con la población civil.
Relacionado con las Fuerzas Armadas, sí hay algunos estudios de LGTBIfobia en el sector
policial, como el que realizó Servera (2016) para detectar actitudes homófobas en la Policía
Local de Las Palmas, debido a denuncias de una policía lesbiana por trato vejatorio entre
2007 a 2009 en ese cuerpo. El autor comenta que la tarde incorporación de la mujer a estos
