Abstract

Berta García Faet's article, Poetics of Niñería [Childishness], examines how recent Iberian and Latin American poetry adopts the infantile as a discursive strategy of resistance. The author redefines "niñería" not as a life stage, but as a poetic and political position that challenges adult norms of rationality and authority. Through a comparative analysis of authors such as Fernanda Laguna, Emma Villazón, and Blanca Andreu, the study reveals how this aesthetic—ranging from the cute to the sinister—deconstructs gender roles and formulates an affective critique of power. The work thus establishes itself as a fundamental contribution to contemporary literary studies, mapping a transatlantic cartography of poetic subversion through vulnerability and the childish.
