The dialogue between poetry and music has acquired particular characteristics in the Hispanic context. This dialogue is characterized by linguistic diversity, the richness of popular traditions, and the influence of specific sociopolitical and cultural contexts. From traditional songs to the most avant-garde expressions of popular music, poetry has found in music a vehicle to expand its reach and resonate with broader audiences. The works in this monograph invite us to delve into the interactions between both arts from a broad perspective that encompasses them within the history and current status of poetry and song in Spain and Latin America.
