soils diagnostic, edaphic evolution, degrading processes.Abstract
It’s made the digital cartography of ‘The Viñales National Park’ as well as the soilsdiagnostic and classification upgrade for the area from the implementation of a Soils InformationSystem (on GIS platform) in order to handling and opportune data consultation for thePark’s authorities. The predominant soils here correspond to the Leptosols group (90%), insecond place Acrisols group (4,5%) in genetic association with soils belong to Alisols group(4,4%), both one with very high edaphic evolution grade, derived from genetic materials rich inquartz and aluminium silicates and also, the existence of very humid paleoclimatic periods inthis mountain on western Cuba. The main degrading processes in soils of the Park are described,as well as some of the most important measures to attenuate them.Downloads
