Main Article Content
Abstract
Abstract: During the global conflict of the Napoleonic Wars, multiple armies of various nationalities, each with distinct military traditions, engaged in battle. This variability had a direct impact on the materials used by the troops, which in turn influenced the archaeological contexts they left behind. Such dynamics were evident throughout the conflict, especially within the theatre of operations on the Iberian Peninsula, particularly in Catalonia, where armies of differing origins confronted one another. One of the final battles of the war took place at the Ordal mountain pass during the night of September 12-13, 1813. This article presents an archaeological study of the aforementioned event. The first section outlines the archaeological methodology employed in the study. The second section provides the archaeological findings in terms of material and spatial analysis. The article concludes with a discussion and conclusions.
