Abstract

The future of Málaga´s Alcazaba and its reconstruction between 1933 and 1945, period in which the main part of the works was carried out, was always, in some way, joined to the Alhambra in Granada. From a technical point of view, two of the three restorative architects that the Granada monument had during this period, Leopoldo Torres Balbás and Francisco Prieto-Moreno, also worked at the Alcazaba in Malaga. With the first of them, landed in Malaga those officers who had helped him rebuilding the Nasrid monument and especially the Partal Palace.
