Abstract

Between 1713-1717 the convent of the Conception was built in the town of Mondoñedo, after the primitive monastery, located on the outskirts of the Episcopal city, had collapsed. In the present work we will analyze the dispute that took place in the local Church because of its refoundation; we will provide the identity of the architect who designed it and the master builders who built it; and also that of the sculptors who devised and executed the liturgical furniture.
