Abstract

Peter Eisenman contributes in 2003 a prologue to the reprint of “Differences” by Ignasi de Solá-Morales. Although he apparently addresses it to the author who died in 2001, there is actually an appeal addressed to two others cited: a patient Jaques Derrida who withdrew his communication in 1990 and Manfredo Tafuri, his greatest critic who died in 1994. Prologue that, breaking the chronological sequence - so deconstructive - it is an allegation with no possible answer shortly before the death of the philosopher in 2004 and as an inscription to his absent critics. “weak time” that, although Eisenman rejects, nevertheless, the structure of the prologue does show.
